PERSONALITY:
Eli never really knows what’s going on, but he doesn’t mind. He is quite oblivious, and he likes it. His world is peaceful when he’s naïve to all of it. Even though he doesn’t realize just how oblivious he is most of the time. It makes for a more entertaining experience to those around him, and if you ask Eli, it makes life a bit more enjoyable when you don't know what's wrong with the world.
He is a very loving man. Eli is a very devoted person and has a huge heart. Once you get to know him, he’ll prove that he is a caring individual and will always, always, always remain loyal. Eli is someone you can count on to stand up for a friend - even when he knows they're wrong - and his loyalty is something he is quite proud of. A father and a husband, Eli truly knows what love is and he'll be glad to share his life story with anyone who's willing to listen.
Goofiness is his pretty much his attitude most of the time. Eli is secure with who he is – a dork. He’s random, eccentric, and funny. He simply doesn’t care what people think of him. That's reflected in both his personality, and his work. His films are often a mirror image of his imagination, which in itself, is a scary thought. Never one to make elaborate plans, Eli is definitely the kind of person to make decisions at the last minute. He is very spontaneous and he proudly claims that it makes his days easier to handle that way. He doesn't make plans unless they're absolutely important, and it's actually a surprise he made it through school that way.
Eli is a very adventurous man. If he’s sitting still, he's is not a happy camper. He has to be active, outdoors, and doing something exciting. Or he loses his mind. He loves adventures and often makes his own. It's this mindset that also makes him a huge dreamer. Eli has huge dreams. And he’s determined to make them happen. People often look at him funny when he expresses his desire to make films, but he has faith and that’s all that matters.
Despite being married and a very proud father, Eli is also a die-hard hopeless romantic. He uses his charms on his wife all the time, though sometimes they do go unnoticed. One of the many reasons he is where he's at in his life is because Eli is very competitive. He wants to get his way. And he usually does because he fights like a maniac to win anything. Poker, board games… no one wants to play against him. He’s ruthless. Add his twin brother to the mix, and you're just asking for trouble.

HISTORY:
The Brady parents were perfect. They always had been, even before Amy met John. Their names are even out of a cliche romantic comedy. Not to mention a sitcom about the most perfect 1970s bunch. He was the perfect child, his parents raised him to be a lawyer and strong, successful citizen in their little hometown outside of Denver, Colorado. Amelia was sweet, kindhearted, and the perfect little homemaker. When they met, it was a match made in heaven and they followed every route for the perfect little family. Married after two years, pregnant after another two. They were doing everything right. They had solid jobs, a nice house, and their first son was on his way. But one doctor's appointment changed everything: they were having twins. And not just any twins... Eli & Leo.
They were wild from the start. Their bright red hair was a sign of fiery personality from day one. Eli was the kid making all the principals call home to report the latest damage. With important people as parents, Eli and his brother stirred up quite the controversy in their small town. He wasn’t rebellious, he just enjoyed adventures. Treehouses in the backyard, skateboarding, building forts out of broomsticks and sheets. He was a typical kid, with maybe just a little bit too much energy. The sugar didn’t help. His parents would hide it and Eli would find it in a heartbeat. Still kind of operates that way. Leo proved to be just as weird as he was and the two of them were inseparable. Their little sister was a bit of a dreamer too, though more well behaved to the glory of their parents. She was one of Eli's best friends and he has always adored his little sister. His favorite thing to do was snowboard, and he always took her and Leo with him. When his parents didn’t want to go to the many competitions he found himself in, his brother and sister were there cheering him on. They kept him grounded when all he wanted was to break free.
The freedom he very desperately wanted from his father. John Brady had always wanted to raise his son to be a lawyer just like him. He’d promised all the right stuff – money for college, a job in his law firm upon graduation, a bonus, a nice car. But Eli wanted none of it. Sure, he could have had the perfect little successful life with everything laid out for him. But he didn’t want it. He’d rather take his chances and go the dreamer route. Art school. Film school. Music school. Something where his creativity could be channeled. His father didn’t approve. His mother cried. His sister cheered. But it didn’t matter to Eli what his father thought. Even after John threatened to kick Eli out of the house, Eli didn’t budge. Film is what he loves, he’s had a camera in his hand since he was a kid. He knew what he needed to do. He needed to leave. As much as he loved Denver, where he could snowboard to his heart’s content – and he was growing quite talented at it, too – he needed to get away.
But something made him stay. Someone, rather. She moved to his hometown when he was about fifteen. Bridget was the one thing that changed his life, and he knows this. She was different than him, but he likes to think he broke through all of it and when he fell in love, he never looked back. Bridget was his life, still is, and Eli is so head-over-heals that he knows she always will be. It wasn’t always love, though. Bridget took a while to open up to Eli, but he fought for it. He knew what he wanted and the feisty kid that he was, he eventually succeeded. Her parents had just died and she seemed shy, reserved, and maybe a bit annoyed by Eli’s presence when they first met. But he was relentless and eventually asked her on a date she apparently couldn’t refuse. Winning Bridget has always been his proudest achievement. Way better than any poker game or skateboarding competition. The two became a pair and were inseparable. He taught her all of his favorite hobbies and before he knew it, he looked around and realized he was still in Denver. Bridget had taken his mind off of his problems with his parents, but it was soon all too obvious again.
College came around. Law school was put on the table. He refused. It was brought up again and again, and Eli wanted nothing more than to get away from Colorado. They found Detroit, Michigan, and it was seemingly the best option for them and at the ripe age of barely adulthood, they left for the new life. They brought Bridget’s little sister Jasmine along with them and Eli adores her.
After six years of dating, Bridget became pregnant with their child. It was shocking for Eli, but he couldn't be more excited at the same time. He was so excited to be a father, he could barely stand it. Claudia Nicole was born soon after, and he's been attached to ever since. No father has ever loved his daughter like Eli loves Claudia. He barely lets her leave his site and only trusts a few people with her care - his brother Leo, his wife, and... that's about it. Eli married Bridget, the happiest day of his life and the one memory he knows he'll never beat, and after Claudia was old enough, Eli agreed to Bridget's desire to go back to roller derby. She was always good at it, and Eli wanted to be a part of it. Alongside his twin brother, Eli is an announcer at the games. Their Transformers routine is infamous by now and Eli loves every second of it.

AGE: Twenty-one

EXPERIENCE: Four years
SAMPLE:Today was full of promises. At least, as far as Eli was concerned. He had planned this day for a long time. Years, in fact. If it were to be technical, Eli had planned this day for precisely seven and a half years. He was almost sixteen then. Full of energy and ideas and jokes. Shorter hair, but still messy. Absolutely untamable. He’d laid eyes on a brunette vixen with a bright green t-shirt and a polka dot scrunchie in her hair. Her shoes made soft clicking noises when she walked and she was so full of mystery that it made Eli actually stay awake in class – if only just to study her from the back of the room, like any smitten teenager should. It was a sad game, though; this girl hated him. But Eli could honestly say he loved her from the beginning. Which is why waking up next to Bridget this morning was still the most thrilling part of his day. He couldn’t wake up and look at her without smiling. And his grandmother always said if you start the day with a smile, nothing could go wrong. And Eli needed all the help he could get.
He wasn’t much of a planner. In fact, the only thing Eli had ever planned in his life was their move to London – and that was partly because Bridget had taken quite a bit of control in that department – and how he was going to pay off the car he bought upon arrival. Aside from that, plans were foreign to the boy. Yet, the past few days had been full of plans. Small details, perfectly coordinated moments, a lot of bribing, and more casual conversation with people he didn’t even like than Eli would ever wish to repeat. But it would be worth it. If his crazy brain decided to make sense for once, and if his dreamer idealogy actually came true. Eli would have to worry about all of this later, though. Because now it was about impressing his girlfriend on a day when she was probably going to feel sick, irritated, pained, and miserable. Baby Bandicoot was really starting to make his presence known. Eli spent the majority of his morning preparing breakfast. He usually failed at such a task, his bacon burning or his toast spontaneously bursting into flames. But today he actually managed to cook up decent pancakes – adding a dose of cinnamon and blueberries like his grandfather used to. It took him a while to decide whether or not to wake Bridget up. He wanted to surprise her with his provided breakfast, but he was such an impatient creature that he didn’t think he could handle the wait.
Eventually it was decided to leave the breakfast for her to find. With a note, of course. Eli's notes were his trademark, but today’s would be special. He grabbed a pen and shuffled around the drawers until he located a small sticky note – one that was in the shape of a teapot for whatever reason they had those in their house – and scribbled down a quick note. Eli knew Bridget would be looking for a note upon waking up. Instead of his long love notes filled with the many reasons he adored her and how beautiful she looked in her pajamas and messy hair, Eli kept it simple:
"LOVE OF MY LIFE. APPLE OF MY EYE. MOTHER OF MY BABY~
Instead of a novel, I’ll keep this note short
Please eat this breakfast and be a good sport
It’s delicious and nutritious and made just for you
But meet me in the car whenever you’re through."
So maybe Eli wasn’t a poet. But he tried. He quickly placed the note next to the plate and searched the house for the important bits of attire he needed today. He never put much thought into his outfit. He found it unimportant and half o his clothes belonged to Bridget now anyway. Pocketing a few important pieces of merchandise, Eli was finally ready. But Bridget knew he didn’t have class today and he’d taken the entire day off from work. So he feared his girlfriend wouldn’t even come downstairs to see the note. Eli would have to be proactive. He quickly ran up the stairs and hesitated outside their bedroom door for a moment before knocking on the door a few times and swiftly running down the stairs and out to his car. He didn’t want to wake Bridget. No. But his eagerness – and certainly his nerves – were growing and he was too impatient to wait another minute for what he had planned.
